Laboratory
If you live in MA, I can order laboratories for you. However, outside of MA, you will need to find a local functional medicine MD licensed in your state to order your laboratories.
Prior to the visit, please have a local functional medicine MD or PCP order the Shoemaker Panel, however. laboratories are not required to see me. Below is a list of my recommended laboratories. I personally do not want my clients to spend too much money on expensive specialty laboratories unless clients require a biochemical assay to support a diagnosis of CIRS or other ICD 10 conditions. If you are in MA, we have the option of obatining standard laboratories using my medical license to diagnose allopathic ICD-10 conditions like DI, MCAD, hypertension, Dyslipidemia, DM, etc. But out-of-state clients, I can only use my PMA license that dose not allow me to treat or diagnose ICD-10 conditions. Sometimes, ICD 10 diagnosis are useful when prescription drugs are recommended (Lyme, Diabetes Insipidus, POTS, MCAD, Elevated Cholesterol, Hypothryoidism, etc.).
Some helpful labs that your insurance will likely pay for (depends on your insurance).
